Sheila Cordner is the author of five books for young readers, including the picture book Who’s Hiding in This Book? Meet Ten Famous Authors, as well as three books in a new historical series for middle-grade readers (Lerner Publications), and a new sports-themed book (inspired by her sports-loving family!). Her big passion is to share her love of history and literature with a broad audience. Sheila teaches at Boston University and when she is not teaching or writing, you can find her searching for old treasures and story ideas on the beaches of Cape Cod. With two young children and a Newfoundland pup, her house is always full of energy! For adults, she has written a book on Victorian authors’ innovative ideas about education, and has presented her research at national and international conferences as well as public venues including theaters, bookstores, senior centers, and libraries. She believes we are never too young—or too old!—to appreciate great works of literature and important moments in history.
